Escalation Engineer Career Information

Role:
Responsible for providing third level engineering support to Mimosa customers by coordination and teamwork with Development, QA, Product Management, and Customer Support.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Work with Customer Support organization to define and resolve customer issues to the best of their ability by providing solutions, as well as workarounds, before hand-off to the Development team.
  • Assist in the preparation of hotfixes, patches within Engineering.
  • Verify and deliver hotfixes and patches to Customer Support.

Qualifications:

  • Customer focused: Able to concentrate on customer issues and drive to resolution escalated issues in a timely manner.
  • Analytical / problem solver: Can isolate and resolve issues in a very time critical environment.
  • Technically astute: Reasonable knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Exchange, storage infrastructure, and networking.
  • Team player: Has the ability to work in a customer-oriented, very fast-paced and demanding environment, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written, verbal and team skills: Must communicate clearly with customers, management, peers, clients regarding problems, changes, and solutions.
  • 3-5 years of total experience comprising Customer or Third Level Support, or Software QA.
  • 3+ years significant experience with Microsoft and network storage technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Outlook, OWA & SQL.
  • Working knowledge of C++, COM, .NET, C#, XML, ADO.
