Mimosa Lands Customer Number 1,000
Mimosa Systems announced during the month of December 2009 that it collected its 1,000th customer. Reaching 1,000 customers is a major milestone for any company and let me explain.
When a new company begins, you can expect that its first ten customers basically received the product for ‘free’. This is the customary practice to gain references.
When a company hits the 100 customer mark, it tells you the product has some real potential and that customers are paying for it. But this is the product’s first generation. Questions still remain about its long term performance.
When a company hits the 1,000 customer mark, you can be confident that many, many customers see value in the product and are referring it to others. You also know that the product has been through multiple versions and is now a mature solution. All positives.
Given this perspective, I hope you can see the importance of this milestone for Mimosa Systems.
